All checkout is processed by Gumroad, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) acting as the seller of record. Work made to order is contracted through Upwork. This site never takes payment and never asks you to create an account.
2 · What you're buying
Two different things are sold here, and they are governed differently.
Downloads. Each is a ZIP file containing one or more of: Markdown (.md) files, PDF guides, Word (.docx) documents, Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx). Files are delivered via Gumroad's download library immediately after payment. Sections 3 to 6 below apply to these.
Work made to order — a custom calculation model, a spreadsheet audit, or a monthly reporting pack — is agreed in writing before it starts, on the platform or by email, and is governed by what is agreed there rather than by this page. Section 7 applies to it.
3 · Licence you get
When you buy a Maket product, you get a perpetual, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use it for personal and commercial purposes within your own work — solo, in your business, or with your direct clients. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publish the files (or substantial verbatim portions of them). Where a download ships its own licence file — some carry an MIT notice in LICENSES.md — that file governs the material it covers, and nothing here narrows it.
Outputs you generate using a Maket file (for instance, a document drafted from one of the packs, or a figure worked out in one of the spreadsheets) are yours to use freely. We claim no rights over your output.
4 · Refunds and support
Seven-day refund on every product. If what you bought is not what you needed, reply to your receipt or email maket.studio@proton.me within 7 days and we refund you in full, for any reason.
You keep the files either way. There is nothing to send back and nothing to delete.
If a file is broken, missing or unclear, tell us at any time — not just inside the seven days — and we will fix it or replace it. Any question, before or after you buy, reaches us the same way, and we answer within 24 hours.
EU and UK consumers. A distance purchase of digital content carries a 14-day right of withdrawal. That right is lost only where you expressly agree, before the download begins, that it begins immediately and that you accept losing the right, and are then sent confirmation of that agreement. Where checkout does not take that agreement, the 14 days stand. The seven-day promise above is a commercial guarantee given in addition to your legal rights; it does not shorten them and it does not replace them.
5 · Lifetime access & updates
“Lifetime access” means the files you purchase are yours forever in the version sold to you, and any free updates we issue to that version are delivered to you automatically via Gumroad. Yearly major editions — the 2027 tracker, for instance — are sold as separate products — current owners are not entitled to future major editions free.
6 · No warranty on outputs
Maket products help you work faster — they don't replace professional judgement. Tax tools such as the Freelancer Tax & Income Tracker are decision-support tools and do not constitute legal, accounting, or financial advice. Always verify calculations with a qualified professional before filing. AI packs generate output via third-party tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) — we don't warrant the accuracy or appropriateness of any AI output.
7 · Work made to order
Work made to order is an engineering and verification service. What is delivered is a workbook, and a reconciliation log recording, for every figure checked, the value the workbook produces, the value the source document states, and that document’s title, page reference and edition date.
The reconciliation proves that a workbook reproduces the source document you supply. It does not establish that the source is the right one for your circumstances, and it is not tax, legal, accounting or financial advice. Those questions belong to a professional licensed to answer them.
AI disclosure. AI tooling is used in the build. Every figure in a delivered file is reconciled against the source you provide and recorded in the log, which is the control that makes the output checkable independently of what produced it.
You supply the source document and confirm you are entitled to share it. Where a source is ambiguous, the assumption used is written down and stated as an assumption.
8 · Service availability
We make a best effort to keep the site, Gumroad library, and email support running. Downtime, third-party outages (Gumroad, Stripe), or unexpected issues may delay delivery. We will resend or extend access as needed.
9 · Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email — through Gumroad to everyone who has bought a tool, and to newsletter members. Continued purchases after a change indicate acceptance of the updated terms.
10 · Alternative dispute resolution
We are not signed up to any consumer arbitration body, and Portuguese law does not require us to be. If you are a consumer resident in the EU and a complaint cannot be settled between us by email, you can still take it to a consumer arbitration centre. For this business, based in Portimão, that centre is CIMAAL — Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo do Algarve (consumoalgarve.pt). The Portuguese consumer portal lists every competent centre at consumidor.pt. Consumers resident elsewhere in the EU can find their national body through their own consumer authority.
Consumers in Portugal can also file a complaint through the electronic complaints book at livroreclamacoes.pt. Complaints filed there are answered within 15 working days.
11 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and disputes are first addressed in good faith by email. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you keep the right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
